What to Expect in Your Discovery Meeting
We Listen to Your Story
Your financial situation is unique, and so is your story. During our Discovery Meeting, one of our experienced Wealth Advisors will:
- Listen to understand your situation – Where are you financially? What’s working? What’s keeping you up at night?
- Explore what you’re looking for in an advisor – What matters most to you in a financial partnership? What have past experiences taught you about what you need?
- Identify the help you’re seeking – Are you approaching retirement and wondering if you have enough? Navigating a business succession? Trying to get on the same page as your spouse? Wanting to increase your charitable giving? We want to understand your specific needs.
This isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a conversation. We ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and seek to truly understand your situation before offering any solutions.
Once we understand your story,

Our Vision for Biblical Financial Stewardship
We’ll explain our mission to help generous people shift culture and change the world for the glory of God, and what biblical stewardship looks like in practice.
How We Typically Work with People
We'll walk you through our three-phase process:

Discovery Phase
We get to know you, so we can understand and clarity your situation, needs, and goals.

Design Phase
We create a comprehensive financial plan with specific assessments and recommendations.

Partnership Phase
We become your long-term partner and provide ongoing guidance, adjustments and support.

What We Look for in a Client
We’ll be transparent about whether we’re a good mutual fit.
We work best with families who:
- Are values aligned with our biblical, stewardship-focused approach
- Have financial complexity that benefits from comprehensive planning
- Desire a long-term relationship, not just a one-time transaction
How We Charge for Our Services
We believe in transparency. We’ll review our fee structure, so you know exactly what working together would cost.

We Answer Your Questions
This is your time to ask anything:
- How do you integrate biblical principles into financial planning?
- What makes you different from other advisors?
- How often would we meet?
- Can you help with [specific situation]?
- What happens if we decide to work together?
We want you to leave the meeting with clarity—whether that clarity leads to a partnership with us or confirmation that you should explore other options.

- Assess whether our services match your needs
- Ensure we have the expertise and capacity to help you thrive
We’d rather be honest about fit up front than disappoint you later.
What Happens After the Discovery Meeting?
If We're a Good Mutual Fit:
We’ll discuss next steps, which typically include:
- Gathering additional financial information
- Scheduling your initial planning meetings
- Beginning the Design Phase of creating your comprehensive financial plan
If We’re Not a Good Fit
We’ll be honest with you and, when possible, point you to resources or other advisors who might serve you better. Your time is valuable, and we respect it.
If You Need Time to Think:
That’s completely understandable. There’s no pressure to decide during the meeting. Take the time you need, and reach out when you’re ready.
Common Questions About the Discovery Meeting
How long does the meeting typically last?
Most Discovery Meetings last 45-60 minutes, though we’re happy to take additional time if needed. We won’t rush you.
Where does the meeting take place?
We can meet at our office in Gap, PA, at a location convenient for you, or via secure video conference if you’re located outside the Lancaster County area.
Do I need to bring anything?
No preparation is required for the Discovery Meeting. This is an exploratory conversation. If you have specific documents you’d like to discuss (such as statements, estate plans, or tax returns), feel free to bring them, but it’s not necessary.
Is there really no cost or obligation?
Absolutely none. The Discovery Meeting is complimentary and carries no pressure to move forward. We want you to make the decision that’s right for your family.
What if I'm not sure I'm "wealthy enough" to work with you?
We’d still love to meet with you. While we typically work with families with growing net worth and financial complexity, we’re happy to have a conversation to determine whether we’re a fit—or, if not, to point you in the right direction.
Can I bring my spouse or business partner?
Yes! We encourage it. Financial decisions are often made jointly, and we want everyone involved to feel comfortable and informed.
What if I already work with another advisor?
That’s fine. Many of our clients came to us after working with other advisors. The Discovery Meeting can help you determine whether a change might be beneficial or whether your current advisor is serving you well.
Who Should Schedule a Discovery Meeting?
You're an ideal candidate for a Discovery Meeting if:
- Your net worth is growing and bringing increasing financial complexity
- You’re approaching or navigating a significant life transition (retirement, business sale, inheritance, loss of spouse)
- You want financial guidance grounded in biblical wisdom and stewardship principles
- You’re asking questions like: How much is enough? How do I prepare the next generation? How can I maximize my charitable giving?
- You desire a long-term partnership with advisors who share your values
- You want to explore whether Bare Wealth Advisors might be the right fit

You're probably not ready yet if:
- You’re looking for someone to just manage a small investment account without comprehensive planning
- You prefer a purely transactional relationship
- You’re uncomfortable with a faith-centered approach to financial planning
